BioPlankton® contains over 10 billion phytoplankton
cells per ml, the highest of any retail feed.
BioPlankton® develops a marine food web resulting in visible
increases in zooplankton and filter feeding inhabitants.
Fatty acids and vitamins introduced through the food chain,
result in fish, corals, clams and crustaceans with improved
appetites and immune-resistance, quicker maturation, and in
some cases increased reproduction. Our strains of
phytoplankton (Nannochloropsis, Tetraselmis, and Isochrysis)
are frozen to maintain the best possible nutritional profile
and minimize spoilage. |

BioPlankton®
can also be used to enrich rotifers and artemia. The
30ml size fees a 60 gallon aquarium for three months at an
average cost per feeding of less than .50 cents.
Available as
30ml & 60ml sizes. BioPlankton® is dated for a 12
month shelf life and should always be stored in a freezer. |

BioPlankton provides big results in
a small bottle
BioPlankton is a preserved algae feed
that meets the needs of the most demanding saltwater aquarist and
mariculture professional. Through the dynamic of the marine food web,
BioPlankton provides nutrient rich phytoplankton to direct and
indirect consumers in the captive marine food web.
Key Benefits
- Highest cell count per milliliter of
any retail plankton feed
- 3 algae species ranging from 2-16
microns to feed a larger range of consumers
- 12 month freezer storage life
In the ocean,
phytoplankton is one of the smallest particles in the food web.
Yet, it is responsible for supporting an incredibly diverse
array of species, from the barely visible planktonic feeders to
the largest predators.
Hobbyists seek to grow
the diversity of animals found in the coral biome, but our saltwater
aquariums are barren of the planktonic food that starts the marine
food web. Mariculturists report that the three most important concepts
to feeding are:
Digestibility
